The Casual Gourmet came into existence in 1994 in Westchester, Illinois and as I have moved to Louisville, Tennessee; The Casual Gourmet has moved with me.
The Casual Gourmet . . . is based on “casual” catering with the food preparations as “gourmet” as I can make them. I want to give my clients what they want and not just what is listed on a menu. I will work with you as an individual and together come up with the catering that will work to best suit your needs.
The Casual Gourmet . . .
is basically a two man show. The functions that we cater range from small intimate dinners to large cocktail parties of 150 or more. All of the food preparation is done by us. I will also be happy to help you with any of the other non-food planning that goes along with having a successful event.
A little about myself . . . I am a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. I graduated in 1974. I have been working in the food service business ever since. I have worked in airline catering kitchens, small private restaurants, country clubs and hotels. I have taught cooking lessons to individuals in their homes and to groups in a classroom. In October of 1999 I moved to East Tennessee for the third time. (I got it right this time!)
